Teaching English as a Second Language Certification
College of Santa Fe 2005
BA Modern Languages and Literature (Spanish concentration; French minor)
Frostburg State University 1997
After settling down in Richmond, VA in 2005, I taught English as a Second Language at Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to 2005, I taught in the English as a Second Language Program at the Santa Fe Community College and at a private school in the Basque Country, Spain. Before I decided to teach full time, I worked in as an administrator for educational non-profit organizations.
ALLENGLISH LLC was established in August 2006. The people I’ve taught work in various fields including the hotel/restaurant and other service industries, engineering, finance, construction, and the medical professions. Others are still in elementary, middle, or high school! My clients represent a cross-section of Richmond, but they have one thing in common: they want to improve their performance in school, work, and daily lives by improving their language skills.
ALLENGLISH joined the Greater Richmond Chamber in 2007 and I continue to be a member of TESOL, the professional organization for Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages.
If you have any questions about my qualifications and experience, feel free to call me or e-mail. Thank you for your continued interest and support!
