Secretary:

Ma’am, you’re daughter is on the phone.  She’s on line 4.

Boss

I’m on  the other line.  I’ll have to call her back.  Can you write her number down on this piece of paper?

Colleague 1

What did you do with the e-mail I sent?

Colleague 2

It’s still in my inbox.

Colleague 1

Let’s look for it.

Colleague 2

Hmm.  It’s not here.  It must be on my other computer.

Colleague 1

I’ll send it again. It should be on your phone in a minute.

Friend 1

Did you see the story about the bank robbery last night?

Friend 2

Yes!  I saw that story on the news last night.  Then, this morning, I saw an article written about it in the Times.  It was also on the internet.

Friend 1

Where did you hear that song?

Friend 2

I think it was on a commercial.  Maybe it was on the radio.  It could have been on my iPod.

Student 1

I’m reading an interesting story in this magazine.  There is a good quote from the president.

Student 1

What page are you on?

Student 2

I’m on page 20.  The quote is in the third paragraph.
